Vice President (Business Development)
Job Description
The role holder will collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational and growth strategy, international expansion plans and hiring needs. The candidate will lead all Axcynsis Therapeutics’ business development and alliances activities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships across all potential partners, focus on building awareness and appreciation of Axcynsis’ pipeline and platform with external companies and investors
- Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
- Develop and formalize an industry-partner engagement framework
- Assist CEO in fundraising ventures and respresent company at industry partnering conferences and in external meetings with existing and potential collaborators
- Responsible for sourcing, Due Diligience, negotiation and execution of collaborations and partnerships
- Work with CEO and executives in formulating current and long-range strategies, objectives, and policies.
- Work closely with the CEO to identify challenges in operational processes and develop improvement.
- Develop and manage budgets in consultation with CEO, focusing on milestones and outcomes. Steer departmental expenditure within budgets.
Job Requirements
- PhD qualification (Scientific background preferred), with at least 10 years of experience in similar role in pharmaceutical industry
- Leadership positions in multi-national organizations will be preferred;
- Experienced in setting up start-up operations and business development
- Well-organised and detailed-oriented;
- Effective communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Team player with good leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Self-starter, independent and self-driven;
- Demonstrates critical thinking and integrity.
