Research Associate / Senior Research Associate (Bioconjugation)

Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to join our conjugation team focused on the synthesis of Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs). The successful candidate will be expected to make contributions to the design, synthesis and purification of ADCs. The (Senior) Research Associate will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and contribute to the advancement of our antibody drug conjugate portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Execute Experiments, Data Interpretation, and Analysis

  • Propose and design synthetic protocols for ADCs to meet project objectives
  • Perform hands on laboratory work to synthesize and purify target ADCs and carry out quality control analysis
  • Analyse experimental results and make recommendations

Documentation and Laboratory Operations

  • Maintain detailed documentation of research and protocols
  • Prepare reports or summaries of synthetic experiments for patent and publications as needed
  • Perform laboratory management duties including but not limited to procurement, inventory management, laboratory equipment maintenance
  • Ensure compliance to standard operating procedure, in-house safety measures and other industry practices

Qualifications

  • B.S. or Masters in related discipline (Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, or related discipline) with prior laboratory research experience
  • Possess a firm understanding of chemical biology and/or analytical chemistry
  • Some experience with modern synthetic techniques in a research setting
  • Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced biotech start-up

Work Environment: This position is based in a state-of-the-art research facility with access to cutting-edge equipment and resources. The Research Associate will work closely with a collaborative team of scientists and researchers dedicated to advancing antibody discovery efforts.
