Scientist / Senior Scientist (Antibody)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scientist / Senior Scientist to join our dynamic research team focused on antibody discovery. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading antibody discovery platform and discovery projects as well as designing, executing, and analysing experiments aimed at identifying novel antibodies for therapeutic and diagnostic applications.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the antibody discovery team
  • Able to oversee multiple development projects, including early and late stage
  • Involved in scientific and strategy discussions to achieve R&D milestones
  • Identifies, defines and implements processes for the design and optimization of ADCs technologies including novel antibody discovery
  • Initiates and maintain external collaborations to advance specific project and meet milestones
  • Leverage scientific and technical experiences to initiate new projects and define functional and project strategies for Axcynsis platform and portfolio
  • Present data and recommendations to upper management, internal and overseas teams
  • Manage and ensure operations in the lab is compliant with Safety, Health and Environment standards of internal and external regulations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of research, protocols, inventories, SOPs.
  • Plan and perform other ad-hoc projects as required

Job Requirements

  • PhD in Cancer biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline with a minimum 5 years of experience is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cell culture, molecular biology, protein expression and immunology-related technique is required
  • Hands-on work experience in antibody engineering, affinity optimization, with strong understanding of protein-structure function is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ADCs and other multispecific antibodies is preferred
  • Experience in leading a project to completion is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional project teams
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced biotech start-up

Work Environment: This is a full-time position based in a fully equipped research facility. The applicant will work closely with a collaborative team of scientists and researchers dedicated to advancing antibody discovery efforts for use in therapeutics and diagnostics.
